An Israeli company had a beautiful idea: let people with disabilities turn their own ideas into real products, using only their voice. We built Mia, an AI avatar that goes from a spoken idea to a finished, engraved product.
The problem
The company wanted people with disabilities to design and make physical products, such as personalised coasters, engravings and T-shirt designs, then give them as gifts or sell them in their own marketplace. Many couldn’t use a keyboard, mouse or design software.
The challenge was a voice interface that understands creative intent, remembers the person, and turns an idea into a real object, without anyone else in the room needing to help.
What we built
- 01
Talk to Mia, see your idea
Someone says “I want a bicycle, pink, with a gold seat,” and Mia shows an image. They can change colours, adjust details or try something new, all hands-free, until it’s exactly right.
- 02
A conversation, not a command
This was the hardest part. A creative request is the start of a conversation: people change their minds and build an idea piece by piece. Mia keeps track of all of it in real time, through voice alone.
- 03
Mia gets to know you
Mia remembers each person’s style and preferences, so the more they use it, the more their own vision comes through.
- 04
From design to object
When the design is approved, the person tells Mia to print it. Mia converts it into G-code, the instructions laser engravers understand, and sends it straight to the machine. No manual steps.
The result
- People with disabilities turn their own ideas into finished products, with no technical skill needed
- The whole journey, from idea to object, happens by voice
- Mia learns each person’s style over time
- Products are gifted to loved ones or sold in the client’s marketplace
- Runs locally, for reliability and privacy, with no cloud dependency
