Most AI story tools take a one-line prompt and produce generic fiction. We built a SaaS product that writes stories around one real child’s real challenge, to help change how they feel about it.
The problem
Telling a child to “just be brave” or “go say hi” rarely works. Instructions explain what to do, but they don’t let the child feel what it’s like to do it.
Stories can, but only if they reflect the child’s exact situation, not generic fiction with a name swapped in.
What we built
- 01
A full SaaS platform
Secure sign-in, subscription billing, and each family’s data kept separate at the database level, by design.
- 02
A profile and avatar for every child
Parents describe their child’s personality, interests and real-life challenges. The AI creates an illustrated avatar that appears in every story.
- 03
A story framework that works
This was the hardest part, and where most of our effort went. Early versions were either too generic or crammed with detail. The final five-stage framework mirrors the child’s feelings, shows a believable setback, has the child take one small action, delivers an imperfect but real improvement, and ends in the child’s own voice. Stories can also run over several nights, building toward a real event like a birthday party or a first day at school.
- 04
Grandma can narrate
With voice cloning, a parent or grandparent records their voice once, and every story is read in that familiar voice, even from across the world.
- 05
Privacy first
Photos are deleted right after the avatar is made, the system is built for COPPA compliance, and no child’s data is used for ads or AI training.
The result
- A working multi-tenant SaaS product with tiered subscriptions
- Stories that feel specific to one child, not generic AI fiction
- A consistent avatar that follows each child through every story
- Family voices that narrate stories, even from far away
- Privacy built in from the ground up
Could this work for you?
Something similar could help if:
- You have a product idea that needs AI to feel personal, not generic
- You need a full SaaS build: sign-in, billing and data separation
- Privacy and trust are part of what you sell
